Boys and girls take a seat. Please sharpen the internal pencil and roll up those sleeves. Feel those arm hairs blow in the wind of the moment.
Today I attended Blogapalooza, hosted by Serendipity (real place located on 1 S. Wacker Dr. Chicago). Along with heightened thoughts, this event took place in the air on the second floor. Quite a pleasure to co-create a space of learning with strangers to learn we aren't too strange at all. Speaker and triumphant human, Victoria Martin bestowed one of a kind information to the crowd. Here, Victoria began to teach surrounding minds the power of both lunar and solar cycles. In other words, how the phases of the moon project emotions through humans. Crazy? Not quite. What's crazy is how Ronald Reagan consistently held his press conferences on a full moon nights. This is no coincidence. Joan Quigley, Ragen's hired astrologer, planned all these meetings and conferences. The new and full moon phases serve as key roles in our lives. When ever changing emotions roar onto the shore of our lives, the moon is there to give answers. Understanding how the full moon, new moon and everything in between heightens awareness. The new moon and full moon have the most impact on us fellow humans. Full moon elicits euphoria, romance, revelations, emotional drama, big social events, and crisis management. The new moon signals an introverted, intense mystery within. Most people tend to stay in on new moon nights. (Good to know when planning events for NYCH). The new moon allows people to gravitate to more social aspects and outside events. The full moon jam on Foster beach in Chicago serves as a prime example: tons of people out and wandering for new explorations. How wonderful. Victoria taught us bloggers, writers, and musicians how to think in cycles versus linearly. Begin to understand the cycle in which emotions go through during certain phases of the moon. A fresh take to understand the cycles of life and how greatly the lunar and solar aspects of our universe affect us. PS. Thank you Victoria for sharing stories on the cab ride home. You surely have impacted what I perceive my life to be immensely-- Big canvas or not.
