"Today's a perfect day for pork chops." - Tubby Light House customer I over heard when working the fourth of July this past weekend

The moon jam is a magical place just north of Foster Beach in Chicago off Lake Shore Drive. Fire breathing humans are the center focus here while the full moon shares its roaring beauty for hundreds to enjoy. The jam factor to this event consists of Frisbee tossin', guitar playin', hula hoopin' people who form a circle around the fire twirlin' people and follow the rhythm of a beat heard from within. Coming here with good company and in the coziest sweater I own creates a sense of euphoria within. Here I can wander, relax in my faded blue flared jeans and chat with people I may never see again. Granted, playing Frisbee in the dark isn't the easiest game to play, but it certainly creates for a nice bond. From guitars to gongs, the music is more than alive here at Foster Beach than your house plant ever was. The best moment you will feel is when you gong a gong. Or in other words, when you strike the Chinese instrument and hear the vibrations soar through the air like tiny ghosts scattering through thin air. "I'm a shit stain on the underwear of life." - Eminem
